New Versa Teased by Nissan

Nissan has released an unexpected sketch of the next-generation Versa. The Versa has grown to be one of the more popular small cars from the Japanese auto maker since it was introduced a few years ago. Available in both sedan and hatchback versions, the car remains a favorite of young buyers.

Nissan said the next-generation Versa compact will be "sold in the Americas" and that was about the only statement they released along with its sketch.

Nissan Townpod Revealed

The Nissan Townpod concept has been revealed at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.

The vehicle looks like a cross between the MINI Clubman and a Sherman tank. The Nissan Townpod headlights change shape to serve as daytime runners when the sun is up, but can also give the car a 'bonnet' design like the Nissan Z models.

This six-door model uses the same green power train as Nissan's LEAF EV. Meant to keep with automakers' trends of using "relaxing" colors for alternative fueled vehicles, the car was painted in 'Stratosphere White' and features electric blue accents.

2011 Nissan Rogue Boasts Refinements

The upcoming 2011 Nissan Rogue crossover will have quite a few refinements thanks to the Japanese auto makers expert engineering team.

The Rogue has been a favorite of Nissan drivers for years, and the upcoming 2011 model is no exception. In July 2010, the Rogue led all Nissan models in sales growth, with a 61.9% increase over July 2009.
Nissan sold nearly 11,000 Rogue models nationwide, resulting in the highest monthly sales growth in the crossover's history. It was also its best monthly performance since the Rogue's introduction.

Nissan Chooses Jim Press as New Consultant

Nissan has hired Jim Press to be their new consultant for North American production.

Press worked for 27 years for Toyota, with another well known Japanese auto maker.

Word leaked earlier this month that Jim Press, 63, has been working as a consultant for Nissan over the past four months. Known for his deep knowledge of sales and marketing, Press has been visiting dealers in the United States, as well as in Europe and Japan.

Press quite possibly could move into a permanent position overseeing the Nissan and Infiniti brands.

Possible Nissan Leaf-based EV Sports Car

The the new 2011 Nissan Leaf EV is so popular, the car is already sold out, even before its supposed to hit dealership lots later this year. Now, Nissan is contemplating adding an all electric, Leaf-type two door sports car to their line up.
