From the first teaser image released, Hunt Nissan could tell that the new 2013 Nissan Pathfinder was going to be a force to be reckoned with. The darkened model shot revealed a heavily contoured beltline, strong fenders and a sense of motion even when standing still. Now, post-Detroit we have garnered a bit more Nissan Pathfinder knowledge but even so, remain anxious for the full vehicle release.
Combining the teaser image, Nissan information snippets and Detroit concept model, we've determined that the 2013 Pathfinder is bound to be more aerodynamic than ever before. Built on a unibody platform, the new SUV strays from its original body-on-frame design. This shift allows Nissan engineers to create a much lighter model and consequentially improve fuel-economy ratings. Swinging around to the front, consumers will be faced with a set of large headlights angled in toward a reconstructed chrome grille.
Present in the 2013 Nissan Pathfinder concept is an improved V-6 engine mated to the Nissan next-generation Continuously Variable Transmission. While details regarding the powertrain are hazy beyond this, we do expect displacement to be somewhere lower than that found in the current Nissan Pathfinder.
Furthering our anticipation, company officials say the model will feature "thoughtful technology, comfortable seating for seven and ample cargo room."1
As amped for the upcoming Pathfinder as we are? If the answer is "yes" then be sure to say in touch with Hunt Nissan at 2121 Chapman Road Chattanooga, TN 37421. The revamped model is slated to go on sale sometime this fall and we promise those in the Chattanooga area will be the first to know when it arrives. In the meantime, you're more than welcome to check out our current supply of new Nissan or used car models and let us know what you think.
