The all new and all electric Nissan Leaf is not more that none of the most anticipated cars in North America. In fact, the EV was recently blessed with automotive's most coveted award - The 2011 World Car of the Year. This honor not certainly a great achievement by Nissan, but it also promotes electric vehicles to the top of the global market. Winning World Car follows Leaf's European Car of the Year title.
"The Leaf is the gateway to a brave new electric world from Nissan", was the recent comment made by jurors from Asia, Europe and North America. Highlighting the car's low carbon properties, judges added it "feels just like a normal car, only quieter".
