Nissan LEAF Availability Grows in 2012 Model Year

In its primary launch, Nissan offered the 2011 LEAF EV to the U.S. markets of California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, and Tennessee. While the 2012 LEAF will continue to be available in these states, Nissan plans to also make it available to eco-friendly car buyers in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Washington D.C...It's all right, you can jump up and down with excitement. We're not watching. Read on when you're done.

Residents of the LEAF's primary launch markets and 10 new U.S. markets will be invited to place their reservations, starting on August 4. For more details on this process or if you'd like assistance, please feel free to contact Hunt Nissan at 1-888-226-0783 . Or, otherwise visit us in person at 2121 Chapman Road, Chattanooga, Tennessee, 3742.

We would also like to quickly mention that Nissan has revamped the LEAF for the 2012 model year.  In response to over 90 percent of LEAF SL buyers adding the available DC Fast Charger to their purchase, Nissan has made the charger standard on the 2012 SL model. In addition, Nissan has offered a suite of cold-weather features to both the base level SV model and SL model. These include: a battery warmer, heated steering wheel, and heated front and rear seats.

Wondering why we didn't mention the SL-e? It's because in addition to making the LEAF better than ever, Nissan has also streamlined the 2012 lineup, eliminating the SL-e trim.
